5 Keys to Natural Cancer Support

  1. To begin with. It is essential that the patient set up accessible, reliable means for measuring their progress. I suggest administering a baseline AMAS test. AMA is the antibody to Malignin present in most cells regardless of cell type, or location. This is a simple, affordable blood test with a 5% false positive and a 7% false negative based on 3,315 double blind assays sponsored by Smith Kline Labs. The test is FDA approved. The test is highly accurate and affordable enough to warrant re-testing on a regular basis (every 1-3 months). This enables the patient to clinically verify their progress.

  1. Test, correct and maintain healthy urinary pH. Potential Hydrogen (pH) represents the concentration of hydrogen ions in the body. Our bodies contain over 10 trillion cells that are fluid like structures containing many alkaline agents such as: potassium, magnesium and calcium. Alkalinity is aerobic. That is, it represents a greater concentration of oxygen, a state favored by normal healthy cells. Disease states tend to thrive on, and produce an acid environment. Healthy human blood has a pH ranging from 7.35-7.45. This is equal to urine that ranges between 6.45-6.85. Urine is the most accessible pH to test. (See instructions for checking pH).
  2. Eliminate all processed sugars and fermented foods. This is what I call addition through subtraction. What you subtract is every bit as important as what you add! In his address delivered to the Nobel Laureates on June 30, 1966, two time Nobel Prize winner Dr. Otto Warburg said: “The prime cause of cancer is the replacement of the respiration of oxygen in normal body cells by the fermentation of sugar.” Therefore I suggest the following foods be strictly avoided: all processed sugars, yeasted breads (opt for yeast free), vinegars (and all foods containing), beer, wine, champagne, nuts (especially peanuts and pistachios), mushrooms, morels, truffles (fungus), aged cheeses (mold), soy sauce, miso, tempeh and tamari.
  3. Eliminate all inflammatory foods. Foods produce the 6 essential fatty acids. The 6 essential fatty acids produce all the hormones necessary for inflammation and anti-inflammation in the human body. The hormones that produce inflammation are called cox II hormones. Following extensive research, Director of the Strange Cancer Prevention Center in New York, Dr. Mitch Gaynor said: “When you inhibit cox II hormones cancer cells stop growing.” Thus, by eliminating the foods that produce the fatty acids that create inflammation you antagonize the growth of cancer cells. Furthermore, common sense tells us that by both eliminating the inflammatory cox II foods and increasing the anti-inflammatory cox II inhibitor foods you may further bolster your anti-cancer chemistry. Here is a list of inflammatory foods to be avoided: red meat, farm raised fish, tilapia, dairy, egg yolks, corn products, all nuts except for: walnuts, pumpkin seeds, soy nuts and macadamia nuts, processed carbohydrates, processed sugars, fermented foods, nori seaweeds. Here is a brief list of anti-inflammatory foods to be increased: wild salmon, halibut, sardine, lake trout, non-fermented soy, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, chia seeds, dark greens. I also suggest liberal use of turmeric, rosemary and oregano for anti-inflammatory support. Poultry, and most vegetables and fruits are neutral and are acceptable. I suggest no more than 1 serving of fruit per day as cancer can adapt to fruit sugar when deprived of highly processed sugars. General diet recommendation: Bkfst: egg whites and yeast free whole grain oat or rye toast with I.M. Healthy green label soy nut butter spread. Lunch: 4 oz. fatty wild fish, tofu or poultry with 8 oz. steamed dark greens. Occasionally salad if dressed with lemon and olive oil. Dinner: Same as lunch but add 1 cup of high fiber starch such as: brown rice, baked or sweet potato with skin, pearled barley, quinoa pasta etc. Beverages: 60 plus oz. distilled water, green tea, paud’arco tea, ginger tea, astragalus tea.                                                                              Reference: www.annieappleseedproject.org/spicraccanfi.html
  4. Add supplementation. There have been a number of studies indicating that natural over the counter supplements may provide viable support. I have listed those that I have developed confidence in over the past 26 years. Here is a partial list: Nature’s Sunshine Paw Paw caps.1 per day, Ecological Formulas Nutricillin (laktoferrin/colostrum) 2 per day, IP6 caps. 2 per day, Ecological Formulas Monolaurin caps 600 mgs. 2 per day, Liquid Chlorophyll 2 tbsp. in 4 oz. water 3 times per day, and baking soda ¼ tsp. In 3 oz. water before bed.
